Check Any Device IMEI

Enter a 15-digit IMEI and select the check type. Results are returned within seconds.

What is an IMEI Number?

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It is a unique 15-digit number assigned to every mobile phone and tablet. Carriers, manufacturers, and buyers use it to verify a device's identity, check warranty status, confirm SIM lock status, and detect blacklisted or stolen units. For wholesale traders, checking IMEI before purchasing bulk inventory is a standard due-diligence step.

How to Find the IMEI on Any Device

iPhone

Go to Settings → General → About and scroll to the IMEI field. Alternatively, dial *#06# on the keypad — the IMEI appears immediately.

Android

Go to Settings → About Phone → Status or dial *#06#. On dual-SIM devices, two IMEIs will be shown.

Box or SIM Tray

The IMEI is printed on the original retail box and on the SIM card tray. For bulk lots, cross-reference the box IMEI with the device IMEI to verify authenticity.

IMEI Check — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check an IMEI number?

Enter the full 15-digit IMEI in the field above, select a check type (Basic Info, SIM Lock, or FMI), and click "Run IMEI Check." Results are returned within seconds.

Is the IMEI check free?

Yes. Basic device info, SIM lock status, and FMI (iCloud lock) checks are all available at no cost and without an account.

What does SIM locked mean for wholesale?

A SIM-locked device is restricted to one specific carrier network. This limits the resale market for that device. Always verify SIM lock status when sourcing bulk inventory to avoid activation issues in target markets.

What does FMI (Find My iPhone) mean?

FMI is Apple's activation lock. If FMI is ON, the device is linked to an iCloud account and cannot be activated without the original owner's Apple ID credentials. This makes FMI-ON devices very difficult to resell.

How accurate are the results?

Results come from third-party data providers and are for informational purposes. Accuracy may vary by device or carrier. Always verify with the seller for critical transactions.

Can I check multiple IMEIs?

Yes, but rate limits apply to keep the service free for everyone. A countdown will appear if you need to wait before checking another device.
